Great idea very poorly executed. : Apple Macbook Air Superdrive - ZML - MC684ZM/A
For seasoned PC users like me, the simplicity of Apple products can be disconcerting at first, though the aesthetics are certainly pleasing. There is not ejection button; there is no slide-out drawer for the disc; it really doesn't look like much at all. In fact, it's a bit like the CD player in your car; just slide in the disc; the drive pulls in the disc and, voila, you're good to go. All other operations with the Macbook Air are done from the Mac itself. I'm not using this on a Macbook, but on the new Mac Mini, which no longer includes an optical device for some reason, but this works just fine...though I disliked spending an extra eighty bucks to get that feature. However, like all of the Apple products I have (also iPad and iPhone), it's easy to love.
