I bought this drive a few months ago and about a week after installed it started to make a noise that sounds like a bunch of marbles are loose inside my MacMini. It also makes beeping noises here and there...The noises are starting to become more prevalent so I went to Seagates site to have it swapped out...they want to charge me 19.99 in order to send me out one first so that way there isn't any down time...What a crock!...I wouldn't recommend getting this drive or any Seagate product...They obviously know they have problem with their drives because they are charging you 19.99 to have it replaced in a timely fashion..Should have bought a HITACHI!!!!

Good sound.....portable as heck : Phiaton MS 400 Premium Carbon Fiber Headphones (Black)

I got these on a cyber Monday deal on amazon for only $125. For that price, they are amazing headphones, but at the list price of $250 there are probably better headphones for the price (Sennheiser comes to mind). My first pair was defective but I emailed amazon and they responded within a few hours. The next day, the new set arrived in the mail, and this was before I even dropped off the defective product at UPS to be sent back to amazon. Great customer service amazon! The new set works great and I will do a review. I have heard that these change very little after burn in, but I will edit if I happen to be wrong.

To be honest, I really bought these headphones for the looks. Once in a while I see someone with a pair of Beats by Dre and even though the audiophile part of me cringes at the thought of those overpriced, bass-heavy cans, the rest of me can't help but feel a tinge of jealousy for their looks. All of the other cans I own are for their sound quality and don't look very good. My Sony MDR-XB700 look ridiculous when worn outside the house and the Sennheiser HD555 just isn't very stylish. On the other hand, The Phiatons, with their carbon fiber ear cups and red accents, look plain badass. In my opinion they are much better looking than Beats and almost anything else in the price range (including V-MODA Crossfade LP).

Sound:
I am only an amateur audiophile and I do not have much grasp on the jargon, but I will try to describe the sound as best I can.
Bass- the bass is one of the defining characteristics of these cans, there is a lot of bass, but not so much that it is overpowering. The bass is tight and delivers a lot of impact (as in you can "feel" the bass) without being muddy, bloated, or all over the place (when the bass mixes into the mids and kinda muddles the entire sound up). The bass is great for my electronic and techno music.
Mids- mids are very strong and have a and forward feel. You can clearly hear them, even with the thumping bass, and it works great with my rock music.
Treble- this is definitely the weakest of the three. Treble is there, it is just not as prominent as the others. This is not a problem as the genres of music that I listen to usually are not heavy on treble. An added bonus to this is that this makes these cans pretty much sibilance-proof.
Overall- I find these headphones to deliver a fun, bassy, warm, but colored sound. They may not be good for picking apart studio recordings, but I have yet to find a song or genre that they don't sound good with. I love the sound signature, but as with many colored (as in the sound, not the actual color) headphones it is up to the listener to decide weather a sound signature is "good" or "bad".

Those were the two main reasons I bought these headphones, so I will only review those two points. Feel free to leave comments on anything else you want to know.

My favorite iPod to date. (A.K.A. The iPod Apple should've released in 2007.) : Apple iPod classic 160 GB Black (7th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

I am quite new to the portable mp3 world, although I have about 250 gb of music on my computer. The only mp3 player I own is a 1 gb Samsung Pebble, which I use at the gym. This was the only mp3 player I thought I needed since both of the stereos in my vehicles have mp3 disc players. But then I started thinking...since my new Camry has an auxilary jack to hook up an mp3 device, wouldn't it be great to have one and get rid of those giant cd wallets?! The first task was to get permission from my wife to spend 250 bucks. After a little hesitation, she agreed. And then it was on to the research. Since I have such a large collection of music, the capacity of the device was number one on my list (as well as positive reviews & quality). I was pleasantly surprised to see that Apple had reissued the Classic in 160 gb form instead of the 120 gb. So after much personal debate between the Zune and the new 160 gb iPod Classic, the iPod won out.

Although the iPod is a fantastic little device with a large capacity, the software is not without its troubles. I downloaded the most current version of iTunes (verison 9) and immediately began importing my mp3 files from my hard drive. This process can take some time, but not much longer than any other media player. I was so excited to finally have the majority of my music all on one device; and have the cover art as well (I just think that is awesome)! After loading a large chunk of my files into iTunes, I noticed that only a handful of the albums had the cover art. I attempted using the "get cover art" function, but it didn't work. My only option was to track down the cover art online, right click, save, and then add the picture to the album file in iTunes. I know that it's not such a huge deal, but when you're dealing with A LOT of music, it can become quite a pain & time consuming. I later learned that the files have to be spelled exactly like they are in iTunes. And if they didn't come from iTunes in the first place, 9 times out of 10, the album art won't come up anyway. I would like to see a function that gets the cover art from other online sources, not just iTunes; and without a strict spelling criteria. There's no reason that the way I name my "The" bands should restrict the retrieval of cover art. An example being "Animals, The" instead of "The Animals."

So other than the minor annoyance with the cover art, the player itself is fantastic. I found the interface very user-friendly and intuitive, without much of a learning curve. Again, I am new to the world of iPod, but I can honestly say that I am very pleased. I wanted to write a review for people that have a large digital music collection that came mostly from ripping cd's to their computers. I am one of the people who still enjoy listening to an entire album, and is not satisfied by just downloading the single, so I still buy physical cd's & collect vinyl. I would definitely recommend the 160 gb iPod to any music fan with a large collection. Just remember to be patient when getting the artwork for all of those older albums. If you don't have a collection full of Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, or Beyonce, iTunes just may not recognize your music!
